Alaina + Christopher’s Spring Wedding at Bayshore Grove
I was so excited to start my wedding season in April with Alaina and Christopher! This super sweet spring wedding took place in Oswego, NY. They had a traditional church wedding ceremony, followed by photos along the shores of Lake Ontario, and a joy-filled reception at Bayshore Grove.
Both Alaina and Christopher got ready at hotels in downtown Oswego. While the girls were getting primped, pampered, and styled, the guys were outside riding around on scooters. What a fun way to kick off the day and keep things light!
We all arrived at St. Mary’s Church, and the two of them had the sweetest first look. I swear Christopher would’ve married Alaina right then and there if she had let him! He was so enamored with his bride-to-be.
The church wedding ceremony was very traditional, with an audience of loved ones. Afterward, the newlyweds had a bubble exit before heading into wedding party and family photos. I’m so glad we decided to do those at the church because little did we know, it had started raining over at Bayshore Grove, which was our next stop.
Having grown up in Oswego, I was well aware of how unpredictable the weather could be in that area. So it was really no surprise when their wedding day arrived and the skies were gray with spotty rain, but I honestly loved it and how the portraits of Alaina and Christopher turned out! We were able to grab some stunning photos of the two of them by Lake Ontario and around the Bayshore Grove property. The lake, even when overcast, is always beautiful.
We grabbed a few adorable photos of Christopher with the ring bearer, who was also his nephew, right as the rain started up again. The blissful newlyweds were introduced into their reception and went straight into their first dance as husband and wife. That was followed up by parent dances, speeches from the Best Man and Maid of Honor, dinner, and plenty of dancing. Their group was a little rowdy, which made the reception extra fun. We had a blast with the bouquet and garter toss, and then Alaina, Christopher, and I ducked outside for a few final rainy wedding photos.
This was a great way to kick off the spring wedding season. Thanks for having me!
