Christine + Travis' Outdoor Backyard Wedding
There’s nothing better than getting married someplace meaningful, which is what made Christine and Travis’ outdoor backyard wedding so special. Fall-colored florals adorned this beautiful wooded space overlooking the Oswego River as the happy couple said “I do.”
Travis and his family got an early start and spent all morning transforming his parent’s property for their fall backyard wedding. Meanwhile, Christine was getting pampered in the house with her sisters, niece, and aunt by her side. Christine donned a lace dress with sleeves that felt like it was straight out of a fairytale. Travis sported a stunning blue suit jacket with orange accents to match the season and decor.
Guests gathered on the edge of a pond for the ceremony, with reserved seats for Christine’s mom and grandparents who watched from heaven. The couple exchanged vows surrounded by ivy-covered trees with the sound of water behind them.
The setting was perfect for Bride and Groom portraits. The sun peaked out which made the leaves in the trees sparkle while we took shot after shot of the blissful newlyweds. The moment of calm was broken when Christine and Travis partook in an epic champagne shake-off. I might be a little biased, but I’m pretty sure Christine had that one in the bag.
Their brunch wedding reception kicked off with a coffee and mimosa bar and catering by Peppino’s. The couple cut their gorgeous cake as guests mingled and enjoyed yard games. As things wrapped up, I snuck away with Christine and Travis for a few photos on the dock overlooking the river. It was an intimate and peaceful way to end their day. Guests went home with whimsical donuts from Glazed and Confused, along with Christine’s grandma’s famous molasses cookie recipe and a custom mug.
Christine and Travis, may you enjoy decades of wedded bliss!
