Emilie + Jordan, Bistro 197, Oswego, NY Lake Ontario Elopement

I knew Emilie from high school, and I was ecstatic when she reached out to me a few weeks before she was planning on getting married. She met Jordan while auditioning for graduate school in Ithaca, where he’s from. She teaches music in Nova Scotia and has even played at weddings herself. From the way she told me about Jordan and how the photos were going to be a surprise, I knew they would be so sweet together!

We met up at Breitbeck Park to start taking pictures, and they were naturals in front of the camera. The golden, glowy sunlight was perfect as they got cozy, ran around in the snow, and even had a snowball fight. When it was time, we headed to Bristro 197 for drinks, dinner, and the celebration with their parents. They kept the evening super intimate, but it was absolutely perfect, especially right before Christmas.

Emilie told me that Jordan wrote this below on her anniversary card, and I think it is so fitting for their life ahead! “The last three years have been tough, but working and loving side by side has gotten us through it all. Here’s to a future together with untold beauty and adventure!”
