Lauren + Jesse’s Garden Engagement Photos at Lorenzo State Historic Site

With their sights set on a historic venue for their wedding day, Lauren and Jesse thought garden engagement photos would complement their wedding photos nicely.

Jesse works with my boyfriend, so I originally met the couple at their holiday work party. I was thrilled to hear news of their engagement, and even more so when Lauren reached out in need of a Syracuse NY wedding photographer. We promptly scheduled their engagement session for early fall at the beautiful Lorenzo State Historic Site in Cazenovia, NY.

They started the shoot in more casual attire. There was plenty of laughter, which made for some adorably playful portraits of the happy couple. We worked our way around the property, finding plenty of opportunities for picturesque garden engagement photos. I love when my couples really let loose during their session so I can capture their true personality as a duo.

Lauren and Jesse changed into some dressier clothes as we headed across the street to Cazenovia Lake Park. The sun was setting, giving me the most amazing golden hour light to play with. The result was some breathtaking lakeside photos that felt like an absolute dream.

I’m so excited to team up with Lauren and Jesse again this August for their wedding at the Oneida Community Mansion House!
