Marisa + Alex's Apple Orchard Engagement Pictures at Abbott’s Farm

It was Le Moyne College that originally brought Marisa and Alex together, but it’s their sweet personalities and love of reading that have kept them bonded since. I, too, met Marisa at Le Moyne College during graduate school, so it was a great joy when she chose me out of all the amazing Syracuse NY wedding photographers.

Marisa hired me to take some apple orchard engagement pictures, and I immediately fell in love with the idea! Their wedding will have a vintage literary theme, so we decided on a picnic engagement shoot where they could cuddle up with their favorite books. I started researching which apple orchard would be best, and it wasn’t long until we settled on the charming Abbott’s Farm in Baldwinsville, NY.

We set up a blanket in the middle of the apple trees and the couple caught up on their reading. I absolutely love that they got dressed up for the occasion - it really made it feel like I was tagging along on a special date. We popped a bottle of champagne and they gave all the apples a little bubble bath, then I grabbed some shots of Marisa’s engagement ring with Cloud Atlas, one of their favorite books.

They changed outfits and we grabbed a few final photos inside the Abbott’s Farm greenhouse before calling it a day. It was wonderful meeting up with them for their apple orchard engagement pictures, and I’m so looking forward to their wedding this fall. The details are sure to be stunning!
