Sugar Blossom Cake Shop, Liverpool, NY

Today’s the day! *cue the confetti* Sugar Blossom Cake Shop is officially open!!!

I had the chance to photograph their desserts and the lovely owners, Lauren Scarpelli and Kaleigh Ligoci, a couple of months ago as some promotional shots for them!

I photographed Kaleigh and Paul’s wedding back in 2016. It was one of my first weddings! So when she asked me if I would interested in helping her and Lauren by taking professional pictures to help promote their new cake shop, I was so excited! I know this has been a long time in the making. I obviously said, yes!! I couldn’t wait and started helping them prepare and plan in the month leading up to the photo shoot.

As soon as I walked into where we were taking pictures, I was hit with the sweetest smell. I immediately wanted to try all of the treats they had prepared. I helped them set up our tabletop studio as they helped with the styling of each set up. After all of their creations were photographed, I took pictures of them too! It is so important to always get a nice portrait of yourself, especially while launching a business or new offer! It was so much fun hanging with them and helping them work towards their goals. I was even able to take home a box of treats for myself too.

I stopped in last Saturday during their soft launch and picked up a box of goodies. The macarons, chocolate cookie, and pumpkin whoopie pie that I tried were delicious! It was amazing to see them, catch up, and admire their shop! I’m already planning my next visit.

I highly recommend stopping into their shop. It’s located right in the village of Liverpool, next door to the library. You won’t be disappointed, and you may even see a handful of my images on the walls. ;)
