Brittany + Patrick’s Waterfall Engagement Photos at Labrador Hollow
There’s nothing that speaks to my soul more than working with couples who are adventurous in spirit. So it was my absolute pleasure to tag along with Brittany and Patrick in the Labrador Hollow area for some waterfall engagement photos.
Brittany found me online while browsing photos of weddings at Green Lakes, which is where they’re getting married. She stumbled across one of my wedding blogs and reached out to chat and learn more. We set up a coffee shop meeting where we talked all about their wedding, the proposal (Patrick popped the question while on a hike at the Valley of the Fire near Las Vegas), and our mutual love of hiking. These in-person consultations are so important to ensure we’re all a good fit before you book me as your wedding photographer. No surprise here - I meshed with Brittany and Patrick wonderfully!
For their engagement session, they wanted to try out a new hiking trail in Labrador Hollow. These two were ultra prepared! They brought along hiking sticks, a change of clothes so they wouldn’t have to hike in their nice outfits, and even a table so Brittany could do her makeup. The hike was one mile and ended at a beautiful waterfall. It was a hot spring day, so this was the perfect length, and a wonderfully cool, shady place to end up.
Brittany and Patrick were so easy to work with. I loved directing them through prompts and watching them make them their own as they got more and more comfortable in front of my camera. A little ways into the session, they changed outfits and we grabbed a few more shots in front of the breathtaking falls. Brittany whipped out a handmade jean jacket toward the end that said “Mrs. Parker” on it. It was a really sweet way to end the session, and made an excellent backdrop for some ring photos!
Their Green lakes wedding is going to be so amazing! I can’t wait to see how they celebrate. If you’re dreaming of a more adventurous photo shoot, reach out and let’s chat. They’re my absolute favorite!
