Heather + Kyle’s Winter Maternity Photos at Green Lakes State Park
Nothing excites me more than hearing from past clients who want to book another session, so I was thrilled when Heather contacted me about doing some winter maternity photos at Green Lakes State Park. I had previously photographed their engagement, intimate Covid wedding, and the big family wedding that followed. It was such an honor to be invited to document this next step in their lives as they celebrated their pregnancy!
We met up on a chilly day in March. This time of year can be such a toss-up weather-wise, but we got so lucky with a fresh layer of snow on the ground. It really made the photos feel extra cozy, which I love.
They brought along their sonogram photo so they could get some pictures with it. They were going to use the images to announce that they were having twins. I was so overjoyed for them and the exciting news! I made sure to grab a few close-ups of the sonogram so you could see both of those sweet babies.
The forest photos ended up stunning with the white snow contrasting against the dark treeline. After taking those, we headed down to the lake for a different backdrop, and I snapped a few of Heather by herself. I love how a gust of wind blew through to give her hair that soft windblown look.
What a special time for Heather and Kyle as they grow their family! I love being able to document all the milestones that come after “I do” for my wedding couples. Feel free to reach out so we can make some magic!
