Julia + Nathan’s Fall Engagement Photos at Delphi Falls
It was a late October day when I met up with Julia and Nate for their fall engagement photos at Delphi Falls, and the fall colors were really showing off. As any photographer knows, sometimes the session is all about exploring and finding different backgrounds to work with, and others, like this one, are focused on squeezing in as many poses and angles as you can to make the most of one magnificent background (in this case, the waterfall).
When Nate showed up, he admitted that he really wasn’t feeling up for taking photos that day, but I was determined to help both of them have fun! We started off with some easy walking prompts to get them loosened up. I loved how perfectly their outfits complemented the greens and oranges of the surrounding forest.
As the session went on, they really opened up and the laughter was flowing! I always try to make your time with me as enjoyable as possible, which involves giving a lot of easy instructions and keeping things light. I think Julia and Nathan truly enjoyed my ‘sneak attack’ prompt!
Their wedding was 11 months away, so we chatted about their plans for the big day, and I gave some tips for crafting the perfect wedding-day timeline. I’m always happy to help with this, no matter how soon or far away your wedding is! It not only makes my job easier, but I can help maximize the amount of photos you receive while helping the day run as smoothly as possible.
Before we finished, I made sure to grab a few close-ups of Julia’s ring. Nate wanted a couple more shots with his hat on, so we snagged those, then wrapped up our time together.
Julie and Nathan are a stunning couple, and I know their wedding day at the Colloca Winery is going to be even more fun than this engagement session. I can’t wait to document their vows this fall!
