Hayes Family Photo Session on Lake Ontario

This may come as a surprise to some, but if I was forced to choose the one thing I love most about my job, it would be documenting the lives and milestones that happen after my clients’ wedding day. Liz reached out wanting to schedule a family photo session with her husband Joe, daughter Ella, and fur baby Archie, and I was thrilled to oblige!

We decided to do a 30-minute session, which is shorter than a typical photo shoot, but we knew it’d be just right for young Ella (and Archie too!). I’m always happy to offer these mini-sessions because sometimes an hour is just too long for certain family members. Of course, Ella rocked it, and the 30 minutes just flew by.

Liz and Joe got permission for us to use Brandon’s family cottage, which gave us the perfect little shady spot with an amazing view of Lake Ontario. I couldn’t have dreamed of a better backdrop for this session! I took photos of Ella with her mom and dad, both with and without Archie. Liz’s sister, Erin (the absolute sweetest), was there to lend a hand - it can be a lot to wrangle a baby and a dog while having your photo taken!

Liz and Joe each got some one-on-one photos with their daughter, then we snapped some of the two of them alone. After all, Mom and Dad deserve some special photos too! But of course, Ella and Archie stole the show. They were so adorable!
