Sara + Pete’s Central Park Engagement Photos
Sara and Pete are getting married in Rochester, NY, which is where they’re from, but they got engaged in New York City, so we headed down for some Central Park engagement photos! Of course, the only thing that could make this session more perfect was to schedule it while the cherry blossoms were in bloom. It turns out April was the perfect time!
I was so excited when this weekend finally arrived. A trip down to New York City is always an adventure, plus I made plans to visit one of my best friends in New Jersey after the engagement photos were done. There was rain in the forecast, but as we were driving into the city, the sun came out, and we ended up with blue skies for the entire session!
I met up with Sara and Pete and we wandered the park together, stopping at locations that looked interesting. Central Park is huge, with more than 800 acres to explore, so we had to go in with a plan. We stuck close to the Bethesda Terrace, popping over to Cherry Hill, the Wisteria Pergola, and a few other areas nearby. We kept walking, and they showed me the bridge they got engaged on.
Once we got to the cherry blossoms and other flowering trees, it became effortless to photograph these two - they were just having such a good time in each other’s company. I loved finding all these little hidden gems in the park as we explored together. We stumbled upon the prettied trees at the end of our session that wrapped around them perfectly.
I had so much fun traveling for Sara and Pete’s Central Park engagement photos! If you’re engaged and this is something you’re interested in, let me know. I love to photograph my couples in new and interesting locations. I can’t wait for Sara and Pete’s wedding this fall!
