Kate + Corey’s Cozy Fall Pictures at Fallbrook Lodge
Kate and Corey reached out to me in 2022 about photographing their 2024 wedding. Once they had their wedding date reserved, we split the difference and scheduled their engagement session for 2023. By the time their session rolled around, I couldn’t believe a year had passed - it felt like I had just met them! Meanwhile, on their end, things were changing quick and they had recently welcomed a baby boy. What a big year it had been! I was thrilled I could help them make some time for themselves to play and reconnect as a couple.
We met up at Fallbrook Lodge in late September for some cozy fall pictures. I knew these photos would look great leading up to their October wedding at Curtis Manor. Fallbrook Lodge is truly stunning in autumn. We lucked out too because the sun was shining! Kate and Corey were filled with joy and laughter during the session, and the beautiful weather compounded the good vibes and made Kate’s red sweater really pop.
While taking their fall engagement photos, we covered almost every inch of the property. From fields and barns to waterfalls and bridges, Fallbrook Lodge is such a versatile location, and I’m thrilled that Kate and Corey were open to exploring all of it. There’s nothing I love more than a couple who is relaxed and silly during their session like these two. It makes for the best photos, and makes my job so much fun!
Halfway through the session, Kate and Corey changed outfits and brought out a plaid blanket. I found a quaint little spot by a stream of water for them to sit together, surrounded by fallen leaves. When we were done with that location, Corey was wearing the blanket as a cape, which just added to the laughter!
Toward the end of the session, Corey pulled his pickup truck around and parked it in front of the red barn so we could include it in some photos. We snapped some cozy fall pictures of Kate and Corey sitting in the truck bed, then I used their blanket to take some stunning photos of Kate’s engagement ring.
This session was such a fun one, and I can’t wait for their wedding this fall!
