Kim + Jeff's Barn Wedding at Hayloft on the Arch
Kim and Jeff’s Hayloft on the Arch wedding was over a year in the making! You may recall their Syracuse Courthouse elopement from 2020. Well, that was just the beginning of their wedding story, and it was so great to see them finally celebrate with family and friends in person at the barn wedding of their dreams!
Their day started at Turning Stone Resort & Casino where both sides of the wedding party got ready for the big day. The rooms there had such stunning natural light! Once ready, we all headed over to the Hayloft for a short sweet vow renewal ceremony officiated by Kim’s brother. They said “I Do” in front of the coolest wooden wedding arch covered in fresh flowers, with a backdrop of almost-fall trees. The moment Kim and Jeff leaned in for their “first” kiss, the sun suddenly made an appearance, bathing them in rays of light and making the puffy clouds look even more dreamy.
We took a few family photos in front of the arch before heading down to the tiny chapel for some fun photos with the entire wedding party before relieving them of their duties. Kim, Jeff, and I explored the property by ourselves and grabbed plenty of shots of the “newlyweds.”
Portraits wrapped up in time for Kim and Jeff to attend the end of the cocktail hour. When it comes to barn wedding decor, you can’t beat Hayloft on the Arch. It’s such a classy place to hold a barn wedding with tall ceilings covered in string lights, and Kim and Jeff’s personal touches just added to it. They had some beautiful displays including a candy buffet, family photos, and a large amount of delicious cupcakes!
The reception began with introductions and their first dance before heading into dinner. Towards the end of the meal, I asked Kim and Jeff if they wanted to step outside for a few more portraits. I love when we can fit in a little time for my couples to connect later in the day, without all the guests mulling around - bonus points if it includes some golden hour light! We headed back into the reception just in time for speeches, parent dances, and the cake cutting, followed by tons of dancing.
I was so thrilled that this day finally arrived, and I know everyone else was too. I loved being along on this journey with Kim and Jeff, and I wish them both the very best!
