Mila, Newborn Session

In honor of Mila’s birthday last week, I thought it would be appropriate to post her newborn photos for a new blog today! I was so happy when Emily reached out to me to photograph some sweet photos of her baby girl.

Emily, Kobe, and Mila came over to my house on a cold winter day, but I made sure to keep the house warm Mila as we were photographing her in front of a large glass door for gorgeous, soft morning light. She loved being swaddled, and I highly recommend mixing textures, like the pink cotton swaddle and white faux fur blanket, for a newborn session! She had an outfit change and feeding before we kept taking pictures and then another outfit change. We have to get pictures with mom and dad too!

These first moments and memories are the most precious, even when the baby is crying, only wants to be fed, and wonders what this camera in front of their face is. Trust me, when I say that we’ll be able to get those precious shots you are dreaming about from your Pinterest board.
