Lake Shore Yacht and Country Club Wedding: Jessica + Shadi, Syracuse, NY

This July wedding was perfection! Jessica and I had been talking about their wedding for well over a year. So when Covid hit, there was talk about postponing it and a backup date. Luckily, the wedding was able to happen on the original planned date!

The day began at Embassy Suites in Syracuse while everyone was getting ready. Jessica and Shadi had rooms just down the hall from one another where we captured details, final details, and fun confetti shots (including a gif)! After an hour, we left for Assumption Church where they were getting married. This church is actually where Jessica’s grandparents got married years ago! Their traditional Catholic ceremony was perfect, and just as it ended, the winds started picking up and sky got dark. We were fully preparing for a storm, which happened while we drove to their reception venue, Lake Shore Yacht & Country Club.

After we arrived and went inside to check on all of the gorgeous, little details, the rain cleared! We were able to get family and bridal party pictures done in before Jessica and Shadi had their moment to shine for pictures of just them. Let me tell you, the storm clouds made for an amazing backdrop as they laughed and had fun with us. We made it inside before the storm rolled in again off of the lake for first dances and toasts. After dinner, they cut their cake with a Lebanese sword and enjoyed spending time with their guests as the music played. The night ended with a stunning sparkler exit. I loved this lakefront wedding so much! Thank you for having me!
