Rebecca + Nick’s Sunset Engagement Photos at Green Lakes State Park
I met up with Becca and Nick on a gorgeous June evening for some sunset engagement photos at Green Lakes State Park. Everywhere we ventured in the park, the light was absolutely perfect. I love how each engagement session I photograph has a different feel depending on the couple and their dynamic. Some of the sessions are loud and silly, others are bold and romantic. For Becca and Nick, they shared a lot of quiet and sweet moments together. I love tailoring each of my sessions and the poses I use to each of my couples and their unique chemistry.
We started in the forest by the lake so we could take advantage of the light before the sun got too low. As soon as we stepped out from the trees, they were bathed in warm golden light. We wandered a bit to find some wildflowers, then they changed outfits.
Green Lakes State Park has so much to offer for engagement photos, so we just kept exploring. The sun was going down over the lake, so we made sure to take advantage of the sunset with plenty of photos by the lakeshore. After that, we did some seated pictures near the Old Administration Building, which turned out to be my favorites. In that moment, it felt like I truly captured their personalities as individuals and as a couple.
Before wrapping things up, I wanted to snap a few pictures of Becca’s ring. She pulled some natural elements together and created a little styled ring shot. What a fun personal touch! It was a great way to end our time together.
I can’t wait for their November wedding at Emerson Park Pavillion in Auburn!
