Brianna + Mike’s Winter Engagement Photos at Delphi Falls
Winter engagement photos are such a blast! The white snow really makes the couple pop off the background, plus there are never any crowds to contend with. Brianna and Mike had a weekend in March where they planned to visit Central NY to accomplish some wedding planning tasks. They figured it was as good a time as any to schedule their engagement session with me, and I’m so glad we lucked out and were able to take their engagement photos in the snow.
We started things off at Delphi Falls near Cazenovia NY. A waterfall photoshoot is a magical thing on it’s own, but the snow really amped up the wow factor. The water kept pouring over the falls while the rest of the world was frozen. I love how it made everything look! I kicked things off with some classic poses, having them stand together and walk toward me. Then Mike picked Brianna up, spun her around, and we ended up with some super cute and romantic shot!
I was trying to keep things moving pretty quickly since it was cold and they weren’t wearing coats, so we finished up at Delphi Falls and headed to Lorenzo State Historic Site. It’s another favorite location of mine for couples, but the winter engagement photos made it feel extra special. I love the variety of backdrops you can find there - it feels like multiple different locations in one!
We snapped a few sweet photos of them in front of the covered walkway, then wandered the rest of the property, where they shared some precious moments together at the snow-covered staircase. After that, they wanted to explore the woods on the property, which I’m always down for! It’s one of my very favorite spots at Lorenzo State Historic Site.
A dry bench ended up being the perfect place to take our final photos together. It was getting cold, so we wrapped things up and I grabbed a few quick photos of Brianna’s ring before we said goodbye.
I’m looking forward to their wedding in August at Hotel Syracuse. It’s going to be so lovely!
