Hannah + Ross’ Traditional Fall Wedding at Embassy Suites Hilton Syracuse
Hannah and Ross had a picture-perfect traditional wedding on a gorgeous fall day. When we arrived at the Embassy Suites Hilton Syracuse to start taking pictures, Hannah and her girls were in the middle of getting ready. I wasted no time in gathering up all of Hannah’s details and styling some photos of the items. The bottom of her shoes were personalized to say “Live like there’s no midnight,” which was such a cute detail!
Once everyone was ready, Hannah did a father daughter first look outside the hotel. Her dad had a huge smile on his face, and the whole thing was so sweet. Hannah and Ross planned a traditional Catholic wedding at Our Lady of Pompei Church near downtown Syracuse. The venue was lovely and well-lit, and the happy couple stole little glances at each other the entire time. Once they had been pronounced Husband and Wife, Hannah and Ross exited the church to their family and friends waving ribbons in the air.
We knocked out family photos in the church, then the entire wedding party headed over to Franklin Square Park for more pictures. Hannah and Ross had a pretty big wedding party of 19 people, so I had fun creating different combinations of people and grouping them together for photos. Ross and his groomsmen even incorporated the Benjamin Franklin statue into a few of their poses. The beautiful November day gave us plenty of late-season color for their fall wedding photos. I made sure to position Hannah and Ross so the orange trees and flowers lit up the backdrop of their Bride and Groom photos.
Once all our posed photos were complete, we headed back to the Embassy Suites Hilton Syracuse, and arrived in time to catch the cocktail hour. The reception space was decked out in fall wedding colors and decor with pumpkins, leaves, and even a personalized football on their sweetheart table.
The wedding party was announced into the reception, then Hannah and Ross entered to cheering and a standing ovation. They went straight into their first dance, followed by the father daughter dance and mother son dance. It was an emotional 10 minutes in the ballroom!
After dinner, the Best Man and Maid of Honor both gave toasts. Hannah’s dad had prepared a speech, which was obviously filled with so much love. Hannah and Ross cut their cake, then the dance floor opened up for the night. Guests partook in an anniversary dance, along with a bouquet and garter toss, then kept the dance floor packed with a party vibe the rest of the night.
Thank you to Hannah and Ross for inviting me to document your magical wedding day!
