Rebecca + Kevin’s Intimate November Wedding at Skaneateles Country Club

Bride and Groom pose together on the balcony at Skaneateles Country Club during their fall wedding

Rebecca and Kevin had a very specific aesthetic in mind for their intimate wedding at the Skaneateles Country Club, and it turned out to be the perfect mix of victorian vintage, casual eclectic, romantic, and botanical. The country club worked out perfectly for their small wedding ceremony and casual reception, and I loved being a part of it.

The day of their November wedding arrived and the sky was overcast, but it couldn’t put a damper on Rebecca and Kevin’s spirits as they headed into this monumental day. When I arrived, the happy couple was finishing up getting ready for their first look, and I zipped around the club photographing their ceremony and reception details.

It started drizzling lightly, so we opted to have their first look out on the balcony overlooking Skaneateles Lake. It may not have been our first choice, but you’d never know because the light was perfect and the backdrop was stunning in its own way. Kevin was absolutely elated to see Rebecca for the first time, and once they had a chance to catch their breath, we took a few posed photos of them, followed by some with their family and friends.

The ceremony space at Skaneateles Country Club was gorgeous. The Magnolia String Quartet filled the room with music as guests settled in. During the wedding ceremony, Rebecca and Kevin shared their favorite quotes and performed a unity ceremony where they placed rocks from their travels into a dish. I loved all of the laughter and emotion during their readings and vows. It was clear how special this moment was for both them and their guests.

Rebecca and Kevin enjoyed their cocktail hour as I wandered around snapping more posed images and plenty of candids (Kevin’s favorite!). When their reception began, they took a moment to thank their loved ones for attending, then passed the mic over to their Maid of Honor and Best Man for some heartfelt toasts.

London McDaniel provided the soundtrack to dinner as everyone chatted and celebrated the newlyweds. I snapped a few more photos of Rebecca and Kevin outside before they cut their cake, then I headed out for the day.

I’m so happy that Rebecca and Kevin reached out to me to document this exciting time in their lives. What a great way to end my 2023 wedding season!
